The
fans meet Patricia Fripp at 12th and Porter in Nashville,
TN - The King Crimson 2000 World Tour Kickoff
"Thanks sister ... your the toppermost of the poppermost!"
Lindsay Planer
Sister Fripp,
"I was delighted to see you at the King Crimson shows.
This being my first Crimson experience, it was made even more
special and memorable by your presence. Brother should be quite
happy to have you on his side. Everyone deserves at least one
good cheerleader in their life. Perhaps I will find that cheerleader
someday. sigh.
I also purchased the Fripp Unplugged set and I have enjoyed
the tapes! Though being a lover of Brother's music, I enjoy
his comments and stories on the music business as well. Me,
being in the TV/video/film business, I find I relate a lot to
Brother and his experiences. So having this tape series has
been nice to listen to. And Brother can be so funny, can't he?
:)
Take care and visit Krimson News often! ;)"
Kade
"I'm sure all the Crimson fans have gone away with a more
memorable experience after hearing your sales pitch and other
gems of information about Brother. In fact I think you have
opened up a whole side of touring which could be expanded -
the getting to know your artist. Every club show could be made
even more intimate by a question and answer session either involving
the artist direct or someone who is knowledgeable about the
history and facts of the artist. I guess its considered to be
too uncool. But when someone from the outside comes in with
no preconceptions about how a rock show is run then new possibilities
are hi-lighted. There is/was a writers circuit where 3 or 4
song writers perform songs they have written and then tell the
audience how/why the song was written and I understand it was
very interesting."
Lauria Small, Tour Manager
"Patricia Fripp is a force to be reckoned with! I would
be fortunate to have half of her energy and enthusiasm! Her
affection for her little brother is obvious."
Brian Kirsch
"Patricia was just nonstop energy, whether selling merchandise
almost like a carnival barker, or standing on the chair bopping
to the music. It was great fun having her there. Funny how sibs
can be so different from each other, at least on the surface."
Alan Cohen
"Patricia was a life force of infinite effectiveness, moving
'stuff' into 'Take Fripp Home' bags at a furious clip. She looked
pretty cute in her KCCC cap. She convinced me by dancing on
a chair behind her command post that she really does enjoy brother's
music."
Keith Ungaro
"Audience member said, "Patricia, we hear you're giving
Robert some etiquette lessons." Patricia Fripp: "You mean about
talking to his fans?" Makes sense to me! Patricia was most gracious
about it. That resulted in a large purchase on my credit card."
David Ash
"It was positively surreal that other worldliness of your
brother the artist and his image meet you the pragmatic merchandiser.
But pragmatic merchandising is what brought him to me in the
first place--so God bless you both."
Andy Martin
"It was good to see the Sister at the four shows in Nashville.
It's especially nice to see siblings that love each other so
much."
Woody Hoerauf
"Thanks for coming to Nashville to experience the horror
that is the King Crimson fan base. And a GREAT BIG thank you
for trying to bring your Brother out of his shell. I'm sure
many psychologists envy your power. I hope you had fun - we
did!"
