Comments from Patricia Fripp's Speaking & Presentation Skills Schools

"Such a breakthrough from Patricia Fripp's Speaking School. She exceeded my expectations! It was the best investment I have made in a long time in developing myself and my presentation skills."
—Kathy Marcil

"There is no way to express how much I enjoyed your 'Good to Great' advanced speaking school in Vegas...or how much I learned!!!!! It was a BRILLIANT suggestion to come. It was a real privilege to spend quality time with you and some other wonderful 'coachees.'"
—Belinda Yabsley, Australia's No 1 Sales Speaker

"If you're looking for a speech coach, you'll make the right decision to go with Fripp. She is without question one of the top coaches available anywhere. I recently attended the Good-To-Great weekend which really reinforced and nailed down the concepts she teaches in her speakers school. Watching her laser-sharp coaching, this workshop helped me internalize many skills which are critical for excellence. Her focus, energy, quick insights are absolutely amazing. Awesome weekend."
—John Kinde, HumorPower.com, Observational Humorist, National Speakers Association Las Vegas Board Member

"You are an outstanding teacher, and I am so impressed with your combination of patience yet such high energy."
—Steven Reed, Executive Director, Lant & Associates, Inc.

"I so enjoyed your speaking school. I was a sponge and soaked up as much as I could. I am looking forward to attending another of your presentation skills seminars. Public speaking has been in my work area for the last 10 years. Thank you again for your wisdom and knowledge."
—Dee Treece

"Thank you and Dr. Palmer for all the extra effort you provided while I attended your two-day class. My first 'official' speech as President of ESCA was a success, and I owe a majority of that to you."
—Tom Drullinger, George E. Fern Co.

"I'm still digesting the terrific information from the Speaker's School. I was able to use so much of that information IMMEDIATELY. I used to stand up at seminars and say, 'I'm Karen Bonner and I'm a therapist in blah, blah and I'm going to talk to you about blah, blah....' However, after Speaker's School, I stood up at my next seminar, looked each participant in the eye, and said, 'Today you will learn how to tap into your own limitless source of creativity, know yourself better, and deepen your spiritual life by working with your dreams.' Zingo! It was a successful seminar, and the church that invited me (and paid me!) has asked me back."
—Karen Mori Bonner, President, Bonner Speaking and Consulting

"Thanks for your enthusiasm, energy, and wealth of knowledge. Your Speaker's School absolutely exceeded my expectations. I honestly believe you are underpricing the seminar!"
—Barbara Poole, President, Poole Resources, Inc.

"The energy hit me in the face. When Hurricane Patricia let loose, she didn't let up for four full days. She changed my life forever."
—John J. Daly, Jr. CSEP, President, John Daly International, Inc.

"You're fabulous, and the Speakers School and Odd Couple seminars were the best value for my money I've received in awhile. Well worth the trip."
—Scott Boates, President, Glast, Phillips & Murray, P.C.

"Wow! Thank you for conducting an absolutely wonderful Speaker School. I arrived with a deep desire to improve my story development ability & presentation skills—and you and your seminar delivered exactly what I needed."
—Ed Rigsbee, CSP, Rigsbee Enterprises, Inc. Author of "PartnerShift," "Developing Strategic Alliances," and "The Art of Partnering"

"I'm still reeling...I learned so much and now think about so many things differently. Truly one of the most informative, interesting experiences in my professional life."
—Dolores laGuardia, Santa Clara University

"A phenomenal workshop. I kept marveling at your ability to craft such breathtaking messages, lines, setups, and transitions. Watching you was like watching a great artist at her canvas...stunning, exhausting, and exhilarating."
Rick Hubbard, Office for Technology Management, Author of the techo-Thriller Series "Silence the Bell"

"Thank you for a wonderful experience and learning at your presentation skills seminar. I got so much out of your workshop and I have begun really dissecting my stories and my successes to create stories. You make it look so easy, but I know that because you do your homework and perfect your craft.

Just one final bit of praise--the transformation of Forrest and the oncology nurses was amazing. When they told their stories they were so much more grounded in their material and sounded more credible. Almost as if to say, 'I know my material so well, I can afford to entertain you as I teach.' Bravo."
—Irene E. Castelot, PhD

"What an amazing three days. Your advanced presentation skills and speech coaching training was one of the best educational experiences of my career. As an experienced author and ghost writer for executives and professional speakers, I will never be able to hear, write, or deliver a keynote again without your resounding wisdom filtering the view.

It is not unusual to attend a seminar and get all pumped up about learning how to develop a skill, but then have the results short lived. However, with the Fripp training experience, what I learned is not only practical, new, brilliant and vivid, it is being implemented every day.

Now I can look at a client's keynote and instantly make astute recommendations that sell my writing services to my clients. You have been so empowering. My clients are thrilled with how your techniques transform their keynotes from 'I-focused' to 'audience-focused' so they engage every individual they are addressing. They are benefiting from your easy-to-adapt techniques that transform good into great.

Your techniques work not only for writing keynotes, but also for many other aspects of my publishing and marketing business. The interviewing skills alone that you taught us are worth a fortune. Patricia Fripp, you are a master at turning a boring speech that appears to be all about the speaker into an amazing speech that is impassioned, entertaining, educational, relevant and profound."
—Claudia Gere, Claudia Gere & Co. LLC, Helping smart people become outstanding authors, Complete Publishing Services, www.GerePublishing.com

"
I attended your Presentation Class at the APA's Congress in Las Vegas.

Last week I gave a presentation to the Operating Committee at one of our factories. I was the last presenter of the day and followed colleagues that travel all around the world giving the same presentation over and over. I am not as experienced as my colleagues in this area, as it is not my primary focus. Well let me tell you, I wowed them! After my opening, the Plant Director actually leaned forward and said 'You have my attention. I am interested in what you have to say.' This comment came from a man who looked anything but interested during the previously presentations (he actually got up a left the room a few times during the previous presentations). I did everything you told me to do. I employed the closing remarks technique by saying 'Before my closing remarks, I'd like to discuss our next steps.' This opened the discussion to the group. After the discussion I made my closing remarks where I employed my 'Colombo' ending. One of my colleagues described my presentation as 'awesome.' Thanks a million for teaching me these skills."
J.W. Fiocchi CPP, Manager, Payroll Services & Administration, Gillette

"After attending your workshop in Sydney on 27th March, my colleague Melinda and I were asked to give a training session to all the staff in our Head Office. Our seminar received very positive feedback. We taught them you techniques we learned from you. After a series of State conferences we received the following comments by our Head Office staff:

* National Franchise Manager's presentation left the audience feeling very positive and inspired

* Affinity Partner Co-ordinator came across very confidently and had many comments that she had made a difficult and confusing subject very clear and easy to understand

* Marketing Manager's presentation wasn't as powerpoint crazy as usual

* E-Commerce Project Manager's (me) presentation was interesting and fun, yet informative

I even had the MC from our International Conference come up and tell me it was the best speech he's heard in a long time, and my Senior Management team told me "I nailed it and am a star"

So, THANK YOU.....without your seminar this would not have been possible! I have also been offered a promotion that takes me interstate to manage a team of 20!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the inspiration you have given me. I look forward to attending the seminars in December."
Claire Chapman, E-Commerce Project Manager, Harvey World Travel

"You are the reason God made standing ovations! Thanks for all the gret advice at the NSA St. Louis meeting."
—Lisa J. Davis, Educator, Freelance Writer, Speaker, Life is Worth Living

"Thank you so much for sharing your incredible wisdom and ideas with me. I'm on fire with writing new stories and rewriting some old ones. You really sparked some great moments in my childhood that I hadn't thought about in a long time. WOW!"

David Greenman, Business and Personal Development Coach

"Fabulous! Absolutely beyond words! Your programs today were amongst the most exciting, inspiring and content-rich that NSA-OK has ever had the joy of experiencing! Thank you for your graciousness. I am amazed at your skill teaching how to deliver a keynote or seminar Hollywood Style!"

Kristine A. Sexter, Senior Partner, Wise Works Productions

"Thank you for a wonderful experience and learning. I got so much out of your workshop and I have begun really dissecting my stories and my successes to create stories. You make it look so easy, but I know that that is because you do your homework and perfect your craft.

I am seriously considering the fall Odd Couple Workshop and have told several colleagues about it. I'm hoping to bring a small band of speaking misfits with me. Actually, they're very powerful women who could only increase their impact with your workshop.

Just one final bit of praise--the transformation of Forrest and the oncology nurses was amazing. When they told their stories they were so much more grounded in their material and sounded more credible. Almost as if to say "I know my material so well, I can afford to entertain you as I teach." Bravo.

A colleague of mine and I are going to work together on our stories and coach each other using your tools. My goal is to have some tried speeches and stories to subject to refinement in November."
— Irene E. Castelot, PhD

"I really enjoyed your speaking skills presentation. Your enthusiasm and energy are contagious! The insights you shared have helped me to understand why some of my speeches faded after an early high. Even more important, I gained additional knowledge and inspiration to raise the bar and give my audiences a top notch, polished, professional presentation."
—Gene Deyoe, Positive Life Changes

"We thank you for a hugely successful chapter meeting and afternoon coaching. Your visit will be remembered fondly well into the future as the most successful. We are sincerely grateful for your expertise and willingness to share it with our chapter."
—Charlie Dismore, Omaha NSA

"I attended the Fripp Speaking School in Sydney. I really appreciated the richness of experience, style, possibility I got from the diversity of experience, style and possibility that comes from a professional outside of Australia.

Fripp, you have probably received appreciation, accolades and acknowledgment from so many people. I think it is because the impact is so great when you shared your skills and knowledge from the stage. What an inspiring start it is for me. As a result I am underway with my speaking career.'
—Inta Sellick

"Thanks for making our Speaker University event such a tremendous success. Your talent and energy left everyone in awe. The quality of your coaching is amazing."
—Marsha Petrie Sue, MBA,

"Thank you so much for your two presentations on Saturday at Speaker's University. You were fantastically entertaining in the morning and a great model as a wonderful speaker. I loved your dramatic pauses, your use of your body, voice, etc. You were fantastic. The afternoon coaching was amazing.I so appreciate your sharing yourself and actually being able to meet you after all these years."
—Kitty Wiemelt

"My team was fortunate enough to attend one of your seminars in Sydney. We were so inspired by everything that we learned that day our Senior Manager has asked us to put a presentation together for our staff to show them how they can give better presentations at our State conferences. We have given a couple so far and have had great feedback.

"One of the gentlemen I spoke to said that he was so enthused by what I told him he went home that night and wrote his whole speech....he had previously been suffering writers block! Thank you again for a truly inspiring and Life-Changing day!"
Claire Chapman,E-Commerce Project Manager Harvey World Travel

"You are the best coach I have ever met. Thank you for your time, talent and care."
Leofric Kingsford-Smith, Business coach

"The Speaker's Workshop you conducted in Sydney was the highlight of my speaking career. Patricia, you have 'raised the bar' so high that I am both energised and sobered by the prospect of aspiring to your level of expertise.

Your mastery of your profession and craft speaks volumes. Your own delivery is clearly the culmination of years and years of study, discipline and practice. Such finesse, such seamless delivery, is earned word-by-word, presentation-by-presentation, month-by-month, year-by-year.

Thank you for reminding me to revisit with fundamentals and principles of graciousness and good breeding which I always displayed in my professional life and which, somehow I believe I have partially lost during the development of my speaking career. Indeed, the word 'stuff' has appeared in my own vocabulary of late.

You had no need to ask us, "Did you get value?" From stories, to openings, to pauses, to gestures, to questions etc, the substance was there. How we ingest and apply that substance is now up to us.

No doubt you will receive many notes of appreciation. Thank you for challenging me to evaluate every aspect of my thinking, presentations and message. Appreciatively,"
—Robyn Pulman.

"Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom with NSA New Orleans. Every moment of those few hours were electrically charged and extremely beneficial. The three hours sped by and left us all wanting more. An even greater bonus was that it had the impact to bring it home as I learned so much. You are brilliant!"
—Jo Huey

"You are terrific! It was everything I have heard from other speakers praising your impact." Dianne Sclafani "What an incredible display of "How to's" you shared with our chapter members and guests. Even after 22 years in NSA, I took away countless gems from the wisdom of your words and experience. We can always depend upon your presentation filling the room. You hit a home run."
—Billy Arcement
"Thank you for your time, energy, insights, and vast experience. I have been speaking for twenty years and learning from you was a time of review, renew, and affirmation of my commitment to be the best speaker out there - with one exception! You have a natural gift for teaching."
—Norma Wimberly

"Thank you for giving so much of your talent, time, and energy to the Tennessee Chapter of NSA. I learned so much from you that I could immediately implement. In my most recent workshop I paused more, had more effective eye contact and edited my stories to a nub."
—David Logsdon

"I enjoyed your presentation at the NSA meeting in New Orleans. You did a great job, as usual, pointing out the necessity for a presenter to be aware of their entire anatomy when making a presentation. If more speakers would take your advice, their audiences would get the kind of presentations they so rightly deserve."
—Sammie McKenzie

"When you came to our chapter last month, we expected good, but-dare I say-typical things. You know, one of NSA's most famous coming down from on high to share with us some speaking wisdom. Your presentation was "How You Can Create a Charismatic Talk." That you did...but oh, so much more.

Your presentation could just as accurately have been called "How Patricia Fripp Will Absolutely PACK Advanced Speaking Techniques Into Every Available Second While Being As Focused and Committed As If We Were Paying Her Double Her Normal Fee." People were amazed at your content and stamina. This wasn't a speech, this was a true workshop. Real work got done. I saw more attendees frantically writing down more notes than any I can recall from past chapter meetings.

What are members saying? "Finally, some sophisticated techniques." "Wow, we knew Fripp was good personally, but she can also teach!" "I can't wait to try out the I/you audit!" And much more.
What are the all-important visitors saying? "If this is what NSA is all about, then sign me up!"

Patricia, you didn't just meet our expectations, you exceeded them. Speakers of your caliber often have a "rep"...some deserved and some more, shall we say, honorary. You reputation as a professional at the top of her form is well deserved. Your reputation for investing in NSA and chapters is also deserved. We can see why you are so highly requested.

If you ever want to be NSA president again, you can count on our votes!"
—Brian Walter, President-Elect/Program Chair, NSA/Northwest The Effectiveness Institute, Inc.

"Your talk was content-rich, and very helpful to someone relatively new at paid speaking such as myself. Also, I found your website to be incredibly useful, especially the articles. Thanks again."
Nancy Gucwa

"I have attended many of your speaking schools and sessions at the National Speakers Association conventions, you always give me a fresh way to look at how I approach my speaking."

She can give a mesmerizing presentation while being spontaneously responsive to her audience. Her ability to teach others these skills quickly is just as remarkable. Sharon Ellison, consultant, author of The Art of Powerful Non-Defensive Communication

"I appreciated the encouragement you gave me regarding my '5 Best Decisions The Beatles Ever Made' idea — I'll definitely pursue it!

Thanks again for a tremendous weekend! You (and your brother) have a lot of fans here in Seattle!"
—Bill Stainton, Ovation Consulting Group, Inc.

"What an incredible teacher you are. I actually implemented one of your tips the next day and it worked. I turned a boring start into a masterful opening—at least that's what they told me."
Francine Ward, President, Golden Gate Chapter of ASTD

"This morning I was relating how our execs were told to try new presentation styles and I was asked how could presentations be different. I said if what was suggested were followed, these would be drastically different. He said, if someone was reading the words on the viewgraph projection word for word, he would just lay down his pencil and ignore the presentation. Otherwise, there are no differences in presentations.

Obviously, anyone ... even one who has gone through Toast Masters ... who can't see beyond our standard presentations, has not been Fripped. So I say let's sit down, sip our Café Mocha Lattes, and toast to those lost souls who have yet to see the light. THANKS for the book; I enjoyed your 'show' ...and look forward to putting in place the Fripp methodology."
—Gary Silverman

"What an awesome seminar. I am so happy that I came in two days early to attend your speaking workshop. The training far exceeded my expectations. I left feeling focused, inspired to be better and do more. My confidence level has definitely gone up as I have been talking to everyone (coming out punching and they are all responding very enthusiastically). Anyone who wants to have that competitive edge needs to take your seminar. The presentation skills you learn alone are enough to build your business."
—Sandra Tillinghast, Arbonne International

"Thank you for the help you gave me at your speaking seminar in Fayetteville, AR. My presentation at the U of Iowa was much better, thanks to you."
—Jason Andrew, PhD, CRC NCC, Head of Department of Rehabilitation Education and Research, University of Arkansas

"I learned more practical speaking advice in your 2-day speaking seminar than in any seminar I have ever attended! I can already see how your simple "Fripp" method of developing a presentation will save me time and make my presentations more entertaining. I have TONS of stories but rarely use them. I have already left a voicemail for the Regional Manager for the San Francisco Bay Club highly recommending you for training our employees. Thanks again."
—Mitzi Dulan, RD, Sports Nutrition and Fitness Consultant, Bay Club

"FANTASTIC Conference on Public Speaking! Patricia, YOU ARE A DYNAMO! It was the most energizing eight hours; informative, exciting, fun, motivating, electrifying!"
—Gig Owen
"Thank you for sharing your expertise on the basic skills of speaking. The seminar that I presented the following Saturday had a professionalism that was not there before."
— Marilyn Eipper, PhD

" Thanks you for the masterful workshop you gave at the NSA conference at Auckland, NZ. Apart from having the time of my life, I sat amongst your admirers thinking 'THIS is what public speaking is all about.' I don't think I'd seen the real thing before.

Since my return from the conference, I have received an excellent job offer as trainer of business English and presentation skills. My first job was to create my own one-day course on presentation skills. The pilot was very well received and my new director is delighted. You are my role model. Look out for Margaret Austin, the Ms. Fripp of New Zealand!"
— Margaret Austin

"You are amazing! I learned more about story telling and sermon construction from one 3-hour session with you than I did in all of my homiletics courses in seminary. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
— Robert Waymack, D.Min. "

"I want you to know that I managed to pull together everything you taught me since the day we met at the Toastmasters Conference at the Hyatt Burlingame in 1997. I am becoming a "shameless self-promoter."

Another thing I learned from you is to practice constantly. There is not a lot of difference between a hairstylist and a personal fitness trainer. My clients love to pour their heart out to me and be entertained. By the end of my work day after the race, I had a 17 minute speech that I polished with each client. Also, I constantly take note of good stories that I hear or witness with each client to use in speeches. The story that got me on the air was one I rehearsed in the workshop I attended at your house.

I will leverage the tape from the broadcast to get booked on Oprah and get profiled as "human interest story" at Hawaii Ironman. I will have a book ready by then.

You can quote me in testimonials or I will walk around with a "FRIPP" sandwich board, whichever you prefer."
—Mark C. Davis

"I am so glad I signed up for your coaching. It was one of the best investments I have made in my career. I feel after spending a day with you I have kicked my career up a notch."
—Marie Pollack

"You were fabulous and exceeded my expectations. Everyone thanked me for getting you to take time out of your very busy schedule."
—Susan Clarke

"Thank you so much for a terrific workshop! I gained so much from your presentation. Your examples and demonstration gave me valuable insights and stimulation. I am planning to implement many of these ideas right away in my speeches and workshops."
--Judy Ames

"As expected, your seminar was really helpful. I got up this morning and was so jazzed to dig into my notes from your seminar and put them to work. What an inspiration and motivator to discipline and focus myself more."
--Mary Marcdante

"I got so much out of hearing AND watching you speak! You have taught and inspired me. I took a vote *wink* and you have been unanimously voted 'A Katherine France Mentor.' Now you may not be overly impressed with this honor at this stage of my development, but I want you to know that I have my right hand raised as I pledge:

I Katherine, promise to study, learn, and PRACTICE what you teach about how to develop my speaking skills. I will gain everything that I can from your Website, your materials (tapes and books), workshops and presentations to help me along my journey. I envision myself one day as a highly skilled and paid keynote speaker fondly referring to Patricia Fripp as a very important influence on my career development. And of course, I will joyously pay whatever your fees are at that point to critique and coach me on how to further hone my skills. Please don't retire anytime soon!!

Seriously, Patricia you are delightful and you gave us your all, yesterday! What a pro!! Not only are you wise, experienced, dynamic, skilled, and fun to listen to, but you know WHY that is all true about you and know how to teach others! Thank you for being you and sharing!!"
--Katherine France

"It was my pleasure to meet you after listening to so many of your tapes.I've told my friends since the meeting: you are truly a master of the art of public speaking, the best I've ever heard. Thank you for sharing your talents so freely! This good will come back to you, I'm sure."
--Mike Rayburn

"It was 1:02 on Saturday, you were asking for a short break, and I turned to my 11 year old son asked if we could please stay to hear how to upstage other speakers. He looked at me with his baby blue eyes and replied 'Dad, my football party already started.' A silent moment passed and he added 'and you promised.'"

So I am now writing you for two important reasons;

1. To thank you for your presentation. I found it very enlightening. I also had two of my staff attend the meeting, and look forward to their positive responses tomorrow (I've already emailed them my 3 pages of typewritten notes for them).

2. The second is ask if you would be kind enough to email me the high points of how to upstage other speakers. I would really be grateful. I am sorry I had to leave at 1:00. However, I had promised.

But there is more to the story.

Late last night I told my son 'if you can give me 10 points that you learned from Patricia Fripp I will finally buy those new green RPM Pros (Lacrosse gloves) you've been wanting.' He said 'Dad, I thought I was going to get them anyway!' 'I mean tonight!' I retorted. He walked away and I assumed the issue was dead. I was wrong. Less than 10 minutes later he proudly walked into our living room and handed me a handwritten list of the top 10 things that you had taught him. Within 8 minutes were on the net and his new green gloves were on order. What he learned from you will last longer than the gloves.

Therefore, a sincere thank you for your presentation is extended from both my son and from me. I also want to thank you, in advance, for a few notes on how to upstage other speakers. I look forward to hearing from you."

Regards and gratitude,
Chris Ramey, President, International Design Guild

"You blew 'em all away as I expected you would. Congratulation on the size of the crowd you drew. George Torok mentioned many of the techniques he learned from you.

Again, Fripp, YOU are GREAT ! Thanks for coming to Canada."
—Peter Urs Bender

"I was one of the participants at your coaching session at CAPS Toronto in March. As you know, you gave us each a copy of your template for creating great keynotes, and I wanted you to know how helpful it has been for me. I have used it once to create a new keynote, and twice to revamp existing programs. One was a program I had given half a dozen times and, while it had always been well received by audiences, I myself felt it could be even better. I put the material onto your template and immediately saw what was missing and where it should go. The result was amazing - the audience loved the new version and I had a ball presenting it! Thanks again."
—Helen Wilkie

"Dear Patricia,

Thank you so much for the splendid coaching sessions you conducted for us.

Several of us have worked with speech coaches before, and agree that you gave us excellent value for our investment.

What we learned from you was:

    1. 'This workshop enabled me to hone the opening of my keynote and structure the rest of it. I now have much more confidence and know exactly what to practice. An extremely worthwhile day. Time and money well-spent!'
—Shelle Rose Charvet, President, Success Strategies, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

    2. 'Your to-the-point coaching session was an essential 'next step' for me. It provided validation for what I'm doing well as a speaker and redirected my efforts to improve my platform presence. I will now be 'speaking' my stories before writing them out, and will edit, edit, edit!'
—Vivian Quiring, President, Vivian Quiring and Associates Inc., Toronto, Ontario, Canada

    3. 'I do not think we have enough space to express my appreciation and the benefits I received. Patricia is amazing, she has that ability to work on your exact needs and make you a better speaker in so many ways.'
    —Charles Marcus

    4. 'I learned there are many ways to introduce and tell a story and that one of the best forms of feedback is how your audience reacts to that story. I am also more conscience of laugh lines and how to use dialogue to enhance one's story.'
    —Brad McCrae

    5. 'A great benefit for me was in the 'edit, edit, edit' refrain which keeps reverberating in my head. A very worthwhile session!'

Even the people who paid just to observe said they got incredible value.

Many thanks,"
—Angela Jackson, Program Chair, Canadian Professional Speakers Association

"Dear Fripp, You Goddess of Wisdom: Thanks a million for your insightfullness. In this weeks two classes I am buzzing with excitement. I learned more from you in two weeks than all the information I have read in the last six months, what breakthroughs."

Linnea McCord

"Having filmed Patricia for my TV show I was interested in attending her speech training class. I was amazed at the techniques I learned that can be applied to any situation in which you meet and speak to people. I have already used several of these amazingly simple techniques in sales presentations. There is no doubt that I have become a much more effective salesperson thanks to Fripp."
Ted Steinberg, Executive Producer "Seize Your Day" Television

"After being in show business for many years, and now a humorist and owner of a speakers bureau, I can honestly say sharing a day with Patricia Fripp at her advanced speaking skills class is one of the most wonderful learning experiences I have had. She is probably the most informed and astute teacher of speaking. It was a wonderful experience I would recommend to anyone."
Donny Conn, President Convention Connection Speakers Bureau

"The Patricia Fripp Advanced Speaking Skills class was very positive, even better than expected. I will recommend Fripp to others and seek her out in future events. Great material."
John Paul Mendocha

"The most important thing I learned from Fripp was to gain as much rapport with your audience as soon as possible. To have an effective speech ask yourself, 'Does it matter?' If it doesn't matter, you shouldn't be saying it."
Penny Carlevato

"Wow! Spending a day with Patricia Fripp is an incredible educational experience. She demonstrates what she teaches. Her energy, theatrics, and powerful way of delivering her ideas makes a day that could be draining absolutely high-energy from beginning to end. I didn't drop my attention for a second. She is amazing and I learned so much. Looking forward to the next opportunity to see her. Fripp is wonderful."
Gene Siciliano

"When is comes to teaching you speaking skills Fripp is lively, vivacious, and knows her stuff. I can't imagine spending a day more productively."
Dave Balch

"Wow. When you get coached by Fripp she gets down to the nitty-gritty. She critiques you in every word and action in order to bring out your best."
Arlene Dyer

"Just wanted to thank you for the help you gave me when you were in Dallas. I used your model for creating the speech I did in Missouri yesterday for the auto glass salespeople, and it was one of the best presentations ever! This is the audience that we discussed during my 'hot seat' session - 90% male, tough sales guys. Here's why the presentation was a success...
    1. I used your model.
    2. I took your advice and answered up front the 'What gives you the right to speak to us' question.
    3. I did my homework and had a good understanding of their issues.
    4. I used the 'imbedded sales message.'
And here's the pay off...
    1. The client said the presentation was - in his words - 'Perfect! Exactly what we wanted!'
    2. A standing 'O'
    3. Lots of positive feedback from the group.
    4. The client said he'd be happy to recommend me to other divisions of the company.

Thank you so much for your help! What you told me during the "hot seat" session was exactly what I needed to hear."
Julie Alexander Great Days Presentations

"You really outdid yourself this time!!!!!!! Everyone I influenced to come had rave reviews!! The most remarkable thing was to see you take material that was wordy and lackluster and turn it into something powerful and profound in front of our very eyes and ears.

I got some wonderful ideas for a speech that I am delivering in April as a keynote for a women's insurance sales meeting. I need to edit, edit, edit more. Although I have heard you say it many times, I guess it was just the right time to hear it again. I am a late bloomer.

You are the BEST!"
Peggy Collins

"Thanks so much for 2 'magical' days. Each time I hear you and watch you work, I learn so much. I admire your discipline, your work ethic, your dedication to your craft, and your willingness to teach others. Thanks for the candid advice you gave me. You can be assured that it will not be ignored".

Julie Alexander, Great Days Presentations

"THANK YOU!! We had a ball. Thanks for giving me the dramatic opening. I ended with my opening line...'You have an AWESOME responsibility.' You are a great gift to us. I am glad you said 'yes' to your calling, too."
Eileen Spotts

"Thanks for your outstanding presentation to us at NTSA. I took away many great notes, several of which I am putting into my presentation immediately: reviewing my I/You ratio, making sure to fashion presentations for short attention spans, 'stand and deliver' fits my Hired Gun mentality well . . .

I saw your presentation last August at NSA in San Antonio (don't know if you remember -- handed you a copy of Hired Gun afterward) and was greatly impressed. This time I took away concepts to put into action and am doing so."
Robert Workman

"It was a pleasure being in the 'hot seat' at Central Florida Speakers Association. Each time I hear you speak I learn a tremendous amount of information. Thank you for giving me the tools to be the best speaker I can be."
Jacqueline Whitmore, The Protocol School of Palm Beach

"I have been raving about you and what I learned from you in one hour in Lakeland, Florida. I thought of myself as very successful. I've been a member of National Speakers Association (NSA) since 1992. I teach people to become speakers and how to speak to tell their stories to make their points.

However, my life changed after working with you for one hour. You gave me more in that hour of learning than I feel I have gotten with eight years with NSA chapters of and NSA conferences. You made the hour demanding, but you never made me feel bad about myself. You helped me expose many stories to build from in that hour that had occurred to me prior to being FRIPPED! You did it with great energy and caring.

You are awesome! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am truly expanded."
Marilyn Schott National Speaker/Trainer/Coach

"Your program was superb. My question, 'How is it you perform a program and I know it's for me, you just spend time giving others attention so they won't know our little secret?' has more to it than the I - You situation. It's because you are totally present to everyone who attends to your program. It's as though I can get in to the Super woman costume with you and it's OK... even my wife would approve, the Pope, too. You are and very special."
Gordon Hill, Explainer, Exploring Clues to the Mysteries

"My session with you exceeded all expectations - I got more in one hour than several seminars put together. The help you provided in assessing my current video was invaluable. I recommend your coaching and training without any reservations and feel fortunate that I could benefit from your keen insights and brilliant suggestions."
Mary Hessler Key, PhDAuthor of The Entrepreneurial Cat

"Thank you so much for the generous gift of your time, and expertise. I spent the day watching and listening, and am amazed how much I learned. You are incredible. Your caring and professionalism ooze from every pore. Thank you for sharing with us."
Linda Bailey

"Your program was most informative, relevant and entertaining! I walked away with some great ideas. As a former professional actress - for almost 20 years (mostly stage, some film, TV, industrial films), I certainly concur with everything you say about script writing, staging and performance. I don't know what I ever did without this great information."
Linda Larsen

"Dear Queen Fripp, I know you've heard it a million times, so make this a million and one. You are fabulous, gifted, lovely and funny to boot. Add inspiring, motivating and absolutely a speaker's roll model and you have a sense of the impression you left on the Central Florida group in general and this Lyon Queen in particular. So my hats off to you, your highness, from one Queen to another."
Bobbe Lyon, a.k.a. the Lyon Queen

"I expected to learn something, maybe quite a bit, but I never expected to be awed by the power of words. Patricia turned reasonable speakers into masters of the craft, right before my eyes! Her understanding of the spoken word leaves me speechless! My goal was to acquire a better understanding of presenting skills and I walked away with reams of information and a head full of ideas and stories, courtesy of Patricia and her skill in discovering 'points of wisdom' in the most amazing places. Thank you Patricia, I know I am enriched and prospered by this time with you and on a personal note I want to say thank you also for your generosity in staying longer and giving more."
Linda Carter, Coaching for Business and Personal Success

"Thank you for a day that POSITIVELY impacts my career development.

As a professional storyteller perfecting my craft, your program was tremendously valuable. Virtually every statement and action you made was applicable to me! Either in the form of a new technique or affirmation of what I do AND how to do it better, you delivered concepts and displayed your art in such a facilitating way that I immediately recognized how to enhance what is already good and eliminate or improve any weak points, keeping only what is valuable to others!

The Central Florida Speakers Association Meeting and Observation of your coaching was truly beneficial. I applaud your accomplishments and dedication to fulfilling your potential and sharing your gift with others!"
Sylvia Storee Brooke

"As you usually do, you outdid yourself at CFSA Saturday. To whit:

  • You look better than I have ever seen you (and you have always looked great).
  • You had incredible energy.
  • Your message was profound, clear, and chock full of invaluable tips.
  • You demonstrated how to sell from the platform without being offensive.
  • You had the audience in the palm of your hand.
  • You are glowing evidence of what a true PROFESSIONAL speaker is all about.
  • You demonstrated fantastic recall. I don't know if you knew I was going to be there or not, but your ability to recall the RVIA experience (which had to be at least 15 years ago) was phenomenal. I had forgotten that experience myself until you reminded me.
  • I am proud to call you my colleague and, most of all, my very dear friend."
George Morrisey, Certified Speaking Professional Member, CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame 1994 Cavett Award Recipient

"Since attending the Odd Couple Marketing and Strategy Seminar where you put me in the 'hot seat' to get coached as part of the fireside chats, I've had four speaking engagements. I rewrote my speech for The Christian Women's Clubs from ground zero using your principles and got a very good response at both club meetings in December ... one was a repeat from last year so I put in a lot of effort to make sure the talk was fresh.

I also wrote a brand new keynote which I did for the National Honor Society this month 'Three Mile Markers on the Road to Your Future' ... it went extremely well.

It was hard to get hear your direct feedback in San Francisco but I have worked really hard to respond to it, and the results have been great."
— Gene Mage, President, Soaring Oaks Consulting Inc.

"I so enjoyed meeting you at our Windy City Summit treasury management conference this past week and especially enjoyed the session on business presentations. You gave me so many useful ideas and suggestions for improvement and I can't wait to try them out. I don't think I will ever listen to a presentation in the same way again."
— Norine Tempelman

"I'll never ever be able to create another opening, tell a story, or leave my audience with a dramatic closing without asking 'How would Fripp do it?' Patricia Fripp has transformed my business by showing me how to turn good speaking material into words and ideas my audiences will never forget!"
Ed Peters, 4Profit Institute Speaker, Consultant, Author

"At your one day mini-coaching session, I got so many wonderful ideas for my new keynote, and learned alot from everyone else's experience. I spent yesterday starting to list stories that might work inside the outline you conceived. Can't wait to work with you again."
Peggy Collins

"Well, after studying speaking for over 20 years, that certainly was one of the best speaking programs I have attended. Thank you.

There were a lot of things that made it special, but the biggest was that this time I not only got to hear you talk about putting together a speech, I got to watch you (and experience you) helping us with our speeches. Watching you interact with people brought up lots of helpful advice that might not have come out in a mere presentation, or even if I heard you say it I might have missed the point because I didn't see it in context.

I felt like I was watching Gary Kasparov, world chess champion. I know I can play, and I can play pretty well, and a fair amount of the coaching you did I could have done. But it was watching that extra, the level I could not have reached, knowing that it came from that reservoir of speaking experience that is so much bigger than mine, that made me appreciate it even more.

In sports they say the best players often don't make the best coaches, generally because the best players bring so much natural talent to the game that they can't put themselves in the place of another player who doesn't have quite the talent. But you have long taken your talent and tuned it and crafted it and pushed it, so you can work with others who are seeking to get to a higher level for themselves.

Anyway, there was enormous value for me from that session. Thank you!"
